Bangkok, 22 August-In combating dramatic increase in criminal phenomenon of digital content piracy that has emerged as a major global threat, the Chairman of National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), YBhg. Dato’ Hans Isaac has shared his remarks today at Bangkok Digital Content Anti-Piracy Summit. Organized by Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), he highlighted on the urgent need to coordinate regional and global enforcement efforts including cooperation among governments, industries, legitimate content platforms and the creative community. Attributing the alarming growth of online piracy to a number of domestic and international factors, FINAS has taken its anti-piracy efforts through various platforms including technical controls, network management and content identification.
