‘Tiger Stripes’, the first feature film project of aspiring Malaysian young filmmaker, Amanda Nell Eu has been granted the Sitges Pitchbox Award at 2019 Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF) IT Project of BIFAN Industry Gathering (B.I.G) in South Korea held from June 30th to July 4th. As the the world’s first-ever project market to focus exclusively on genre films with the opportunities for investment and co-production programmed under Bucheon International Film Festival (BIFAN), Amanda’s ‘Tiger Stripes’ tells about 11-year-old Zaffan, a confident and free-spirited girl, until she experiences horrifying physical changes to her. Best known for her award winning acclaimed short film “Lagi Senang Jaga Sekandang Lembu” that was selected to compete in the Orizzonti Short Films Competition at the prestigious 74th Venice International Film Festival, Amanda’s ‘Tiger Stripes’ is also the winner of the Asian talent development and networking platform, Talents Tokyo Award 2018.
