Singapore, Nov 29 – In reinforcing new development strategies under the current global economic challenges, National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) proactively continues to attract new economic opportunities at Asia’s leading entertainment and content market, Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF) in Singapore from Nov 29 to Dec 1.Facilitating the domestic content export growth by forging strategic partnerships at global markets across an international platform, Director General of FINAS, Dato’ Fauzi Ayob strongly believes on the prominent roles of FINAS in leveraging global partnerships, pursuing new economic opportunities via new business channels, exploring new growing markets for local industry and promoting inward investment into Malaysia through 30% cash rebate of Film in Malaysia Incentive (FIMI).
“Vividly, as Asia progressively becomes the fastest growing region in the creative content industry, the eminent contribution of FINAS to catalyse creative economy has been positively translated from the total export value worth RM77.35 million from January this year” Fauzi said.
Converging 4800 attendees across 60 countries, this year’s ATF mission led by Mohd Zokifli Mohamad Abu Bakar, Director of Film in Malaysia Incentive (FIMI) and Noorzilawati Yahya, Senior Assistant Director of International Marketing FINAS with four Malaysian companies/sellers namely Nafalia Corporation, Animasia, Media Prima & Animonsta are strategically linked over 4 days at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands with top creative content producers, distributors, sellers, broadcaster across all platforms, including feature film, animation, TV series, documentary from all over the world.
